Jeju in April - Hallaaaaa, san! - A Video by CJ Houston

Jeju in April - Hallaaaaa, san!

CJ Houston has done it again. He and his mother ventured out to Jeju, and he took a bunch of footage with his GoPro and put it together to make a great video featuring the highlights from his trip to Jeju Island.

신림 [Sillim]

신림 [Sillim]
2014/04/26 @ 신림 [Sillim]

Sometimes, we head into Seoul without a plan. This time, CJ, Russell, TJ and I jumped on a bus to Sadang and picked a location on the map. The chosen location was Sillim [신림]. Andy met us in Sillim, which was convenient, because he used to live out in that neighborhood. We walked along the stream, had great street food, and had drinks at a few bars. Towards the end of the evening, Greg and Amanda came all the way out to meet us. I love it when those two show up.

SK Skyview Apartments [SK 스카이뷰 아파트]
2014/05/05 @ 북수원 [North Suwon]

Around the time I moved to Suwon, they started building a new apartment complex in my neighborhood. They finished them up about a year ago, and I'd been meaning to visit to take photos for awhile. I finally went over there to take pictures a month and a half ago.

Cantina Del Sol, Suwon's Surprise Mexican Restaurant

IMG_9576

Cantina Del Sol [칸티나 델 쏠]
2014/04/25 @ 수원 [Suwon]

Sorry for the lack of posting the past couple months; I've been extremely busy with work lately. CJ is really good at the Internet, and he managed to find us a Mexican restaurant in Suwon called Cantina Del Sol. We went out on a Friday night, and really enjoyed it. The service isn't the quickest, but I think I actually like it better that way. The food comes as soon as each individual item is finished. It makes for a very social meal, because everyone is eating at a slightly different time.

We actually went out on Friday night, again. It was even better this time. They put a TV on the bar, and we stayed until 3am to watch the Italy vs. Costa Rica World Cup game.

How to get to Cantina Del Sol:
HwaseoStation [화서역] (Seoul Subway Line 1) - Exit 1
The easiest way to get to this place is to go to Hwaseo Station and take a taxi to Hwaseo O-geo-li. Tell the taxi driver, "Hwaseo O-geo-li-lo ka-ju-se-yo." [화서오거리로 가주세요.] You can also walk. Just follow this map.
