Muuido for Chuseok
2013/09/18~20 @ 무의도 [Muuido]

Every fall, we get three to five days off work for 추석 [Chuseok] holiday. This year, we went out to 무의도 [Muuido] for an undetermined amount of time. I was going to stay for only one night, but I ended up staying for two. I almost stayed for three nights, but was talked out of it. I was happy to be dissuaded after the fact. The first night, I was hanging with Erik and his coworkers, along with all of my coworkers. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos the first day. The second day, more of Erik's pals came out, and so did my camera. It was a wonderful little break from life.

How to get to Muuido [무의도]:
Incheon Airport [인천공항] (Seoul Subway Airport Railroad Line)
Go to Incheon Airport [인천공항] and find the bus stop for Bus 222. Take this bus to the ferry port. When you arrive, buy a ticket for the ferry. Cross the very narrow waterway to Muuido. Jump on a bus to Hanagae [하나개] beach.

A Summer of Baseball

LG (#1) vs. Samsung (#2)
2013/09/07 @ Jamsil Sports Complex [잠실종합운동장]

This year, for the first time since I came to Korea, LG is actually good. They'll bounced around the top three spots all year. Therefore, we have all gone to a number of baseball games to show our support. It's fun to go to the stadium, drink some beers, eat chicken, and just scream along with all the fans. I love the never ending positivity that comes along with a Korean baseball game.

We actually made it to the baseball game eventually, but it was pretty hectic to get tickets and get in. I didn't take any photos. We sat in the Samsung sections and LG lost. Bummer. All in all, it was still a good day.

How to get to Jamsil Sports Complex:
Jamsil Sports Complex Station [잠실종합운동장 역] (Seoul Subway Line 2) - Exit 5 / Exit 6
Walk out exit 5 or 6, and the stadium is right in front of you. If you are buying tickets at the stadium, I would suggest turning left out of the station, and walking around to the back side of the stadium. The ticket booth back there is way less crowded. Plus, there is a great barbecue joint that sells pitchers of beer and has good food.
